The Bali Hai Motel is located on the edge of Paihia, overlooking the Bay of Islands towards Opua.

Take a short stroll to Te Haumi beach and explore the coastal walkways. Walk over the hill, or around the coast, to Paihia township's cafes, shops and wharf. Tours to Cape Reinga and Bay of Islands cruises pick up from the motel. Also allow time for Waitangi Treaty Grounds and a ferry to historic Russell (Kororareka).
